This week you couldn’t help but have noted that the days are getting longer and warmer, everything climbing and green in the garden is galloping up the fences at great speed, and it hasn’t rained for weeks!! Spring is well under way, but no April showers…yet..
It happened to be St Georges Day this week and a great evening was had with my book club ladies at The QOTT enjoying a feast of St George, an eleven dish tasting menu celebrating the greatest English pub classic dishes.
Picking a favourite was impossible but the homemade black pudding and fish and chips are the stars of the QOTT and are on their menu quite often.
Ladies who Lunch managed to fit in a quick lunch at Filmore & Union, in Wetherby,
being healthy it had to be Zucchini Pasta, with goats curd, spinach, hemp and chilli peas,
followed by the dessert sharing board with baked dark chocolate brownie, salted caramel popcorn and raspberry and melon smoothie.
I have recently discovered this sweet and sexy drink – Warming Turmeric Milk, thanks to Madeleine Shaw whose website helps to enliven the hottest, happiest and healthiest you – I certainly need a dose of that!
